Deep red, bubbly and pleasant sweetness – the taste of summer. Frederiksdal RØD, sparkling wine fermented on cherries and pear – all grown locally in the island of Lolland.
Frederiksdal RØD is a blend of 60% Stevns Cherries and 40% Lucas pear.
After a first fermentation the wine goes into the process of the second fermentation to create the bubbles and the character of a sparkling wine. The second fermentation is in tank – called „méthode, charmat“. The result is a fresh sparkling demi-sec.
When the bottle is open, you have to serve it because of the bubbles.
When the bottle is open, the wine can easily last for several month, if it is kept in a cool place.
