Corte Vetusto Ensamble II Mezcal

The second release of Corte Vertusto’s Ensamble blend, a small-batch mezcal made with equal parts of three different types of agave: espadin (agave angustifolia), tobala (agave potatorum) and madre cuishe (agave karwinskii). The agave is roasted in a conical pit fired with mesquite wood before crushing with a stone tahona wheel, wild fermentation and then a unique double distillation – first in a copper pot and then a clay pot still. It’s bottled at still strength – 43.5% – and is packed with citrus and green herbal notes, with a crackle of pepper and smoke.
