Big Peat 12 year old carries a big, sooty, oceanic, and seriously phenolic selection of Malts distilled only on Scotland’s island of Islay. The distilleries there sre renowned for their predominantly peaty, smoky character, all offering variations on the theme of ash, beach bonfires, coal dust and tar. Big Peat is a marriage of single malts distilled at, amongst others, Ardbeg, Bowmore, Caol Ila and Port Ellen Distilleries. It encapsulates the feisty spirit of Islay. This small batch bottling, 46% ABV, no added colouring and non chill-filtered allows the natural character of the spirit to shine through.
